Raja Petra started the Malaysia Today website and his blog to facilitate open discussion on Malaysia’s political and social scenes. In his online writings, he is often very witty, humorous and sometimes critical of the current political developments in Malaysia. In his Malaysia Today’s columns, he advocates for transparency, accountability and justice in the Malaysian political system. He often denounces money politics, corruption, and ethnic polarisation that is deeply rooted in Malaysian society. An elaborative account can be found here…..
It has been exhilarating during the times when RPK were in the midst of friends, fellow bloggers and supporters, after his release from ISA detention. Through his brand of fiery journalism under his website/portal, Malaysia Today, he has brought about alternative journalism to our country and takes his place on the platform as one of the world’s greatest public intellectuals, challenging the mainstream media with rational debate devoid of shameless censorship.
RPK the cyber anarchist? Read here…
I have in my photo collection 2 pictures with RPK for good memories:

(after his release from the 2nd ISA detention, and his first night our to the Anti-ISA Candle-light vigil at AMCORP Mall on 9 November 2008, which saw heavy police machinery to curb the peaceful assembly of the general public)
The second picture was taken at the Fishermen’s Wharf sometime in February 2009 where a get-together was held. That was the last time all of us saw RPK.

It is without any doubt that the charismatic figure of RPK has touch the lives of each and every rakyat of Malaysia and people from all over the world.
